legendary evil and shadowy plots. The Netherstones are artifacts of mighty and terrible power, and the Ascended strove to disperse, hide, and protect these cursed items throughout Shaintar. Unfortunately, beings of great power have often managed to pierce the veils of secrecy, retrieve one or more of the Netherstones, and use them for one dire purpose or another. In each case, Heroes have come and ended the threat; the Netherstone was regained,
and once again hidden away.
This cycle has gone on for centuries. In 3020, after ending a plot involving one of the Netherstones, the 3rd Company of the Silver Unicorn was tasked with seeking all of the others and returning them to the Council of Rulers in the Southern Kingdoms. The Betrayal War erupted across the realm, bringing their quest to an end only halfway through.
And now, someone is seeking the remaining Netherstones. Someone who should
not have them...
